FOR DOCTORS
If you have the InBody 570 or higher, you should have a web portal associated with your account which must be active. In order to use the InBody API you'll first have to submit an application to InBody requesting API access. Once approved you can set up your BodySite integration on InBody's API site during which you'll generate an API-Key that you can add to your BodySite account so you can see your patient's InBody readings in BodySite.
Follow the steps below to set up your InBody integration:
- Contact us at info@bodysite.com to request our IP address, it will be required to complete the setup of your BodySite integration in InBody's API site.
- Once you have the IP address, log into InBody's API site at https://apiusa.lookinbody.com/ using the login ID and password you created during registration for your InBody web account.
- After logging in navigate to SETUP and click Get a New Key
- Enter the IP address we provided you with
- Click Save when you're done to finish setup in InBody.
Now head to your BodySite account to add the InBody API account you just created to BodySite. Follow these steps after logging into your BodySite account:
- Click on Settings to open your Account Settings
- Click Platform Settings and under Third Party Integrations scroll down to InBody
- Enter your Account Name (this is the login ID you used to log into the InBody API site) and the API-Key you generated.
- Click Submit
- Allow up to 24 hours for your InBody data to start syncing to BodySite.
If you need assistance or if it doesn't work after 24 hours, please send your API-KEY as well as your Account Name/ID to info@bodysite.com. For direct support from InBody, email lbsupport@inbody.com.
FOR PATIENTS
When your patients use the scale, they will create an account in your web portal associated with a 10-digit code (typically their phone number). Once they have their code, they can synch their data by going to their Account Settings on the BodySite portal, Selecting My Connected Apps, and then following the instructions for InBody.
Once a patient connects their InBody scale account to their BodySite account, their weight and several other metrics will automatically be viewable in their account and the provider account under Tracking and Body metrics.
Here is what it looks like from the Patient View:
